In 1984 Dick Bright was appointed Musical Director of the renowned Venetian Room at San Fran-cisco’s Fairmont Hotel. There, in what is hailed as the West Coast’s most prestigious supper club, he and his musicians worked with a stunning array of talent from Ella Fitzgerald to the Legendary James Brown.
